Turning into a New Leaf

Semester 2 will be starting in 14 days’ time.
However, Semester 1 final examination result will only be out on the 5th week after the exam if the senior was saying things right.
I did badly for the first semester.
I took things for granted, I believe.
If things didn't turn out to be well, I’ll be sacked from PASUM and that is something horrible.
I’ll lose the scholarship as well.
Nevertheless, I’m still praying for the best of it.
Being able to remain in this superb institution is a blessing if I were given the chance to stay.

Currently I've been creating new sites for faith-building.
I hope things will go well.
May God bless.

Amen.

Cut It Short!

and woOW!

I thought nobody would ever do 'the poking stuff' to me again since I left MOZAC. These guys do really scrunched my head off. (Haha!)

The experiment I had for Physics today had really gave me a hard time.
Seems like SUPER DUPER revision is just the right thing to do.
That applies to all the other courses too.

Okay, admit it Erik. You're getting filled up with confusion as the days pass by.
Alright, I'm sick of being such a lame student.
I hate being unable to understand things taught during the lectures.
(C'mon, mid term exam is just around the corner bro!)

That's it.
No more "facebook-ing" for hours, moreover when there are plenty to do.

(What's that "wow" for? :P)

Aw, Snap! Erik has crashed

Figure 1.1 The crash XD

Another Friday has arrived and – pheww~ that’s a great relief. The week is full of lectures (as usual) just that Erik has somehow fallen too deep into “the pit of confusion” this time around; I’ve got too many things to be revised as my mind doesn’t really come to understanding them (okay, this is something serious), especially Basic Physics 1 and Basic Physics 2 (also some part of Calculus).

I’ll be out to Midvalley again tomorrow with the main reason is to claim for my pairs of contact lenses that I’ve ordered last week from one of the optic shops there. The “side reasons”? Haha!!! Of course there are.

*Wondering when will Yayasan Sabah bank in the allowance for this semester. Pre-university books aren’t cheap to buy.

M-O-T-H-E-R

Back to few weeks ago when I was on my way across the flyover at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan; I saw a boy (about the age of 10) grabbing his mother's hand as he walked - yes, his mother is blind. They were talking about something which made her happy. With all of a sudden, I felt my heart heaving inside me. I gave them a last look before proceeding and still, the mother was smiling .

It made me thought of the way I treat my mother; of how do I spend my time with her and the family; and if I have ever, made her smile?

It's Time to Wake Up, Rise and Soar

Okay here we go~

Congratulations to those who made it for the MARA Convertible Loan!

Seems like my application isn’t accepted by MARA.
Dissapointed? Haha~
No. Not at all. There are reasons for every thing to occur.
I believe that I’m some sort of destined to be here in PASUM.
Maybe that's the best for me.

Okay, I’m officially bounded to PASUM from now on.
No more dreaming of going out for something better.
There are lots and lots of things to be mended here since I’ve wrecked the days before with "unwise study behaviour".
Haha!

Wish me luck!

The hope hasn't perished

How's life treating you, dear readers?

Mine's great I guess~yeah, since I'm taking Foundation here in Centre for Foundation Studies in Science (University of Malaya), of course, having fun is not something that I should always be doing of.

(Psst..I can't say that these things are bad~that will demotivate me, isn't? Haha!!!)

I re-applied for MARA Convertible Loan to study medicine in Jordan and result will be announced tomorrow.

I can't say anything much yet since the result is still unknown but it would be nice if I were given the chance to pursue my studies oversea.

At least I'll be able to undo the mistakes that I've been doing here in PASUM (lazy-ing with my tutorials, lab reports, discussion etc,etc.. that I have to stay up late to settle them up).

May tomorrow be a better day than the days before.

All the best to those who are hoping for the same thing as me!

A Sharing on PASUM by Muhammad Azfar Adam (PASUM 2011/12)

okay2, like this. asasi is very different with school. i can say that Pasum is the most 'free' foundation program in upu. means u are not bounded by rules and regulations. you manage ur own time. i was quite suprise with ur first question,,haha,,i was expecting a more important Q. baju basuh sendiri kat toilet boleh, mesin basuh pon ade kat setiap floor, dobi pon ade. dobi RM2.50 sekilo. kalau basuh sendiri, kat toilet ade ampaian. tp setiap bilik ada balconi. boleh sidai kat situ jugak. Q2: i can tell you that pasum schedule is damn tight till they have no time to focus on excessive koku. however, there are KOKU marks for asasi which carry 10% of ur total pointer in the end.

To get these 10%, pasum organize three major events. if u join these 3, confirmed 10%...1) jogathon asasi- cross country across UM 2) annual dinner- differ every year, mine at hotel istana, RM100 fee. 3) English week- not sure because there are none during my time. they dont have time to organize.

  • t shirt hitam maybe just something for orientation week. no big deal. die nak seragam kot
  • morever, to be a great senior i want to give u a piece of advise
  • dont worry too much, this is just another phase of ur life, just follow the requirement in surat tawaran n u will be okay
  • masa daftar, pakai baju yg die suruh. kalau ada kawan nak jadikan roomate, beratur same2 time daftar
  • kalau takde kawan, make sure beratur dgn org yg nmpk baik untk jdkan roomate
  • siape dtg awal dpt tingkat paling atas, dtg lambat dpt paling bawah
  • btw, korg kolej 12 kan?
  • my advise, jgn dftr awal sngt, jgn dftr lmbt sngt
  • kalau dftr awal, mostly floormate korg org kl n selangor
  • nnt weekend, diorg balik rumah, floor tu rase sunyi, sebab korg mostly duduk jauh kan?
  • tingkat 1 n 2 pon bahaye sebab bile ade event kolej, mcm2 aktiviti yg diorg buat. so ade latihan menari n others. bising glerr! dgn gendang lah ape lah. so advantage tngkt atas
  • jgn risau ade lif
  • laki 7 tngkt
  • pompuan 9 tngkt
  • so dtg pkul 11 lebey kurg lah, dpt tngkat 4 or 3
  • for boys, i recommend tngkt 4
  • sebab korg akan same floor dgn student RPKJ tahun 2
    • diorg jenis belajar skit, so lg tenang lah floor korg
    • satu bilik 2 org eh
    • orientasi penat la jugak
    • tp dgr cite this year dah ubah program
    • maybe orientasi korg tak tough sngt kot
    • ikut je la
    • even penat, nnt jd kenangan
    • enjoy urself
    • then mase minggu orientasi, kene amik english test
    • dari test tuh, die akan sort korg ke dalam kelas
    • satu kelas dlm 25 org cmtuh
    • my advise, jgn buat terlalu baik ujian tuh
    • nnt ur classmate are all anak2 org kaya, girls bnyk free hair even melayu, hidung tinggi skit
    • tp diorg baik je sbnrnye
    • depends pada korg lah
    • yg penting jgn kelas belakang2 sngt
    • agak malu la nnt
    • ayoopenat lah type
    • btw, share this to other pasumians to be from mozac
    • and joinlah grup fb pasum 2012/2013

Multi-personalities?

Yeah, that's what I believe I do have.

It's like being an angel on one day and turn out a devil on the other day.

Sometimes it does benefit me.
For example, I can adapt myself with different social environment easily.

But then, sometimes things will go bad when people me misjudged the way I do things.
For example, those who have used seeing me as a hardworking guy would criticise me A LOT when they see me doing things a bit slower than usual.
That makes the day becomes gloomy.

By the way, thanks to those who are understanding enough and have been helping me with this problem I have.
I really appreciate it.
Thanks!

Nicknames?

Hey, I got a lot of them given by my family members.
But the one, or should I say the ONES that I get from MOZAC?
Huh..I thought I am not going to get any from that school but I was wrong.

'Chipsmore'?
Haha~silly.

But then 'Erick-na' is a different case.
~ngeee~

Nowadays, just call me 'ERIK'.
Yeah,without the 'C'.
It sounds different, better and more friendly.
That's why it's Erik Express.

Erick's First Lone Trip to Melaka : Read but Don't Weep

It was on 1st February that I finally came up with a slightly senile decision of booking a ticket to Kuala Lumpur. With the help from my cousin, Aeronica Sarabatin I purchased 2-way AirAsia ticket at RM 218. Well, that was quite cheap for 2 flights, huh?

My flight to Kuala Lumpur, on 3rd February was a total hardship and survival, no doubt on that. The plane I was in departed at 10.40 pm and arrived at Kuala Lumpur (LCCT) at 1 am on 4th February. Then I bought a ticket to KL Sentral with the earliest bus at 4 am. It was a horrible experience indeed. I can’t sleep at the airport waiting room with people roaming around me.
At 4 am, I took a bus to KL Sentral. Unfortunately for me, I was the only one in the bus except the driver and his company.

At KL Sentral, I took a taxi to Pudu Sentral (previously known as Puduraya) which is still under renovation. I waited till 6 am for the LRT service to be ready and took a ride to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan where I took a bus to Melaka.

I reached Melaka about 10 am in the morning. I took a bus to Jaya Jusco (the smaller branch) so that it would be easier for my host (haha!!), Ahmad Muthiain to fetch me.
At noon we went to MOZAC to see our Chemistry teacher, Mr. Ismail Mohamad. It was a very good thing to be able to see him again. He is a great teacher!

At night, my friends (Muthiain, Azrul Nordin) and I went out for a movie-Act of Valor.
Later when we were about to leave, we got into problem: car breakdown (haha!!). The battery was out of charge. Help came few minutes later and we were able to go home.

Know what?
After everything that had happen on that day, I still couldn’t believe that I am now in Melaka. :)
