I woke up at 5.30 am (Malaysia:6.30 am). We had breakfast at 6.30 am in the hotel cafe where I sat together in a table with an Australian couple and it was wonderful for being able to converse in English with them. About 8.00 am, we set out to the famous Mekong river by bus and it took us 2 hours to reach the there. We passed Mytho during the journey.
At the jetty, we had a ride in a big boat which took us to Unicorn Island. There we were brought to visit a few tourist spots. The first one place was an outlet making homemade coconut candy, also durian candy and crunchy fried banana (I mean " keropok pisang"). Later on, we were brought to a place where they sell bee-based products such as bee pollen and pure honey bee.
Next, we visit a place where we were served with local tropical fruits, just the same with those available in Malaysia. There were bananas, ciku, rambutan, pineapple and watermelon. The most interesting part was when we had a ride in sampan, a small traditional boat made of wood. We were taken to the place where we first arrived at Unicorn Island to be on the boat again. I was on the sampan with my "mum", Mrs. Normarzitah Idris, also Justin and Ihsan.
We were given some time for shopping at the jetty where I bought 6 T-shirts and a hat for my family. We were sent to Saigon Square for shopping. Then, we set back for dinner and went to Ben Tanh Market for furher shopping.
